After the summer holidays with the children, it was also time for an adults-only weekend. We used the time to talk, to laugh, and to simply enjoy each other’s company. We played golf, we cycled, and we enjoyed chilled beer at the end of a warm day.

I believe one of the most underestimated elements in a relationship, is simply finding the time to talk. Unfiltered, and raw data shared with little judging and a lot of empathy. Many situations are much easier to navigate through when you know how the other person is and how the other person thinks!

When you spend your life being a mother or a father, or generally parents, you only know the quality of your relationship when the children are not around. Common ground, and shared interests are super important.
