After a very bumpy flight from Singapore, I made it to Sydney this morning. It has rained all day. And when I say rain, I mean RAIN. Unbelievable.

After rain comes shine (I hope)

It didn’t stop me from taking a walk, though. Hyde Park, close to my hotel, and home to St. Mary’s Cathedral. And plenty of flora and fauna … and birds. Big ones. On the hunt for worms.

Bird-spotting, Hyde Park

Gloriosas, Hyde Park

My hotel is in Chinatown. And it’s full of everything Asian, including Malay and Korean nuances.

A real banana bag

This bag included. Is the banana real? Good question!

The irony

And, yesterday in Singapore (on the bike trip), I kept on joking about wanting some Chicken Fried Rice. Today, I popped round the corner and got myself a Chinese takeaway. The irony. Unfortunately, my appetite isn’t very motivated at the moment. Haven’t eaten much the last few days. I think all the travel, the lack of sleep, the different climatic zones, and the one-woman-nomad part is having its toil and leaving its mark.
