Santa was a generous man last Christmas! Coldplay tickets in Vienna had my name written on the gift tag, and he tossed in a night train there and back.

LED bracelets were remote controlled!

It was a tremendous concert, so authentic, and so much fun. And what’s more, Uli and Vera flew in to join us! And I didn’t know anything about it. What a surprise.

Friends are those that never have to say the are, they just show up with all they have.

Vienna was more than just the concert. It was about swimming in the Danube, eating Schnitzel and then Sachertorte. It was about seeing a museum or two, and being awestruck by all the beautiful architecture.

And it was about finding time to rest

Gwen showed us around a bit, and she was a delight.

The rooftop view no one knows about opposite the Mumok Museum

And you have water stations all over the place! Great idea.

The night train was certainly an adventure, but it was fun. My hips are still feeling that plank of a bed, though. Highly recommend trying out the commute.

It was a fantastic city trip with so much to see and do, and the Austrians are very laid back.
